Dainelle knit her first scarf. It's the Italian flag for her boyfriend Dustin's birthday. He is very excited to wear it.

It's Friday night and I'm taking a break from sewing on my flannel quilt. It's coming along quite nicely. I was also having some smarties as I was sewing and thinking of my chocolate quilt. I bought this as a kit in Vegas. I don't usally buy kits but I loved this fabric. Chocolate is my best friend. I want this one quilted with hearts all over it, for my love of chocolate. Well I better get back to my sewing. Hope everyone has a good week-end.

It's amazing that my poinsettia is still alive in January. It has never happened before. I have bought big fancy double plants and spent a lot of money on them and then they die in a month. I think the secret is not to water them.

Hope everyone had a great week-end. I had a good one. Darren and I went skating on the duck pond at the park last night. We both need some practice on skates. It was beautiful out last night.

First two set of blocks for the flannel quilt.

quilt tops

Underground Railroad. It was very fun to make and have a miniture one of the same almost done.

This pink, red and black one I took an advanced class and learned a lot of new techneques.

It has been a busy last couple of days working and sewing. I also curled on Monday night and lost again. Oh well there is always another game.

Went to see AVATAR last night in 3D and it was awesome. My first 3D movie.

Here are some pictures of the latest quilt tops. Mom I'm hoping you will quilt them for practice.

Sorry correction number one. I'm forty something not forthy. Have a great day
Hello everyone!

I'm so new at this blogging stuff so have patience with me. I have been on a lot of other quilters blogs so I thought why not start one for myself.

I'm a forthy something year old single mother of three teenagers, a career women and I love to quilt. My dreams are someday to sell a quilt. Don't know HOW, WHEN, or WHERE but it will happen someday. It's good to have dreams I have been told.

My mom is moving back to Canada (from 16 years in Australia) sometime this year and hopes to buy a longarm quilting machine so who knows the quilts might just be flying off the machine. It will be such fun working along side her. She is a wonderful quilting and creative person.

So I'm hoping to keep you all updated on my dreams of getting my first quilt sold.
